Our primary goal in collecting your personal information is to provide LaughActive’s membership with superior online services and to provide information to the general public about LaughActive and its members as well as LaughActive’s products and services.

LaughActive collects personally identifiable information that may include your name, company name, email address, billing address, telephone number, log-in name and password. LaughActive also collects anonymous demographic information, which is not unique to you, such as your zipcode, age, gender, and preferences.

 

There is also information about your computer hardware and software that is automatically collected by LaughActive when your browser accesses the website. This information can include, but is not limited to the Internet Protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the internet, email address, browser type and version, operating system and platform, access times and referring website addresses. This information is used by LaughActive for the operation of the Services, to maintain quality of the Services, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the LaughActive website.

 

Please keep in mind that if you directly disclose personally identifiable information or personally sensitive data through LaughActive public message boards, this information may be collected and used by others. Note: LaughActive does not read any of your private online communications.

LaughActive collects and uses your personal information to operate the LaughActive website and deliver the services you have requested. LaughActive also uses your personally identifiable information to inform you of other products or services available from LaughActive and its affiliates. LaughActive may also contact you via surveys to conduct research about your opinion of current services or of potential new services that may be offered.

 

Only in a way that would not allow you or any other person to be identified, we may prepare and share information about our customers with third parties, such as advertisers or partners, for research, academic, marketing and/or promotional purposes. We may publicly report the aggregated findings of the research or analysis, but only in a way that would not allow you or any other person to be identified.

 

LaughActive does not sell, rent or lease its customer lists to third parties. LaughActive may, from time to time, contact you on behalf of external business partners about a particular offering that may be of interest to you. In addition, LaughActive may share data with trusted partners to help us perform statistical analysis, send you email or postal mail, provide customer support, or arrange for deliveries. LaughActive secures the personally identifiable information you provide on computer servers in a controlled, secure environment, protected from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. When personal information (such as a credit card number) is transmitted to other websites, it is protected through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol. It is important for you to protect unauthorized access to your password and to your computer. Be sure to sign off when finished using a shared computer.

Online Training Subscriptions

 

For LaughActive online training subscriptions, you can cancel at any time and you will not be charged again. There are no contracts for memberships.

 

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. If for some reason you are not satisfied, you may request a refund.

 

We do offer refunds in two cases:

  • If you cancel within the first 7 days of your membership.
  • In the case of unexpected renewals. If you had intended to stop your subscription and forgot, contact us within 7 days of the renewal and we will issue a refund for the renewal fee.

 

How to cancel or request a refund

For a refund, contact us via support@laughactive.com within 7 days of joining the LaughActive Instructor Training program or renewing your membership. Please note that once your refund is processed, your license will be deactivated and you will no longer be able to use the product(s).

 

Manage your subscription at https://laughactive.com/instructor-login. Here you can stop the auto-renew on your account, edit your payment details and upgrade to a different membership.

 

We reserve the right to deny refunds if, in LaughActive’s opinion, a user has been abusing this site’s Terms of Service [LINK].

 

Classroom Training Events:

 

If you find that you are unable to attend one of LaughActive’s Classroom Training events, you have two options:

  • Send a substitute. Substitutions can be made at any time – even onsite at the event. (Please have the substitute bring your letter of confirmation to the registration desk).
  • Receive credit for future course. If you are unable to attend a live classroom training, we will be happy to issue you an in-house credit for the certification you did not attend. The credit is good for 12 months and may be used for an online or classroom training program. Request for a credit must be made in writing within 10 days of the originally scheduled classroom certification.

LaughActive reserves the right to cancel any classroom training due to insufficient enrollment at least 30 calendar days in advance of the scheduled course date. Notice will be provided with the option to reschedule for a future classroom training date, transfer registration to the online training program, or to receive a full refund of registration fees. LaughActive is not responsible for any expenses incurred by the customer if a classroom training event is cancelled.

 

If a training class is cancelled due to any unforeseen circumstances such as weather or natural disaster, the customer is entitled to reschedule for a future Classroom Training event or enroll in the online Instructor Training Program.
